Is it possible to share a scanner on a LAN?

    I was wondering if you can share a scanner over a network so that all computer can scan on over the network

    Is it possible?

    You might be able to with something high end. But I know most of the cheap all in one HP and Cannon Scanner/Printers do not.

    I have a really old HP ScanJet 3300C.
    So it probably is not possible then

    Some of the new, and expensive, scanners from HP will share across a network. However, unless the computers are very close, it seems not all that practical, you have to be there to put stuff in the scanner. :)

    I have two computers next to each other with the scanner in-between.
    It does not matter that much anyway

    just scan the photos into your shared folder, and every can access them there! :)

    I'm almost sure that you'd never get a scanner working on a print spooler port. :D
