is it safe to connect two computers together with one ethernet cable

    i just want to know if it is safe to de that cause a friend said that if i did that it would screw up the computers i want to know if it would work or not and if it is also posible to fix one computer that is conected to the other computer to fix this compressed bootmgr thing i got going on
    and i am asking about a ethernet cable not a cross over cable

    you can connect two pcs with an ethernet cable - you normally have to use a crossover cable - unless the machine are very modern and have autosensing LAN connections

    would need to know more detail about this
