A couple of days ago i noticed a red dot with an "X" on it in my toolbar and when i pointed the mouse on it, it said that my computer was infected. I am currently using windows XP. Right clicking and left clicking didn't do anything and a bar comes out at the top of my screen like a banner "Your computer is infected, click here for help." When you close it it says that by closing this is will not solve anything, click on help to learn how to remove your virus. It only comes on when i sign online. I set up the computer to autimatically scan the computer for viruses and to delete all cookies and temporary files at shut down and start up. When ever we run the anti-spyware the results always come out that we have threats coming from adwares. Now the red dot is gone but we still have problems. There are mortgage, porno, and other cookie files that appear in the anti-virus scan. Besides all those unknown cookies the computer works really slow. Today the nortan anti-virus kept warning that apijj32.exe is trying to connect to the internet. The options are to always allow to connect, always block, or manually configure options. I don't know what to do . Please help!
