i have an acer XC-704g, its a tiny model and about 4 years old. the problem is that when i try to turn it on, the fan starts and the dvd port fires up, but thats it. theres no picture or anything (the hdmi doesnt even pick up that its on) and after thirty seconds it'll just stop completely, but the fan keeps going, so i dont think its a psu issue. theres no beeping. im hoping it's just a problem with post and not a motherboard thing.

ive spent the last seven hours trying to google and common sense how to get it working and nothings changed. i tried bios/cmos (both versions, multiple times), moving around the ram/hardrives/everything else, pulling the frame apart to make sure everythings connected and cleaning everything out properly. the only thing i can possibly think of is that i dont have a memory/sd card.

    please help if you can!!

It’s always good to have a spare power supply
You can just pull the power plugs from the motherboard and insert the plugs of the spare
