Is Ooma VOIP compatible with any other phone extender ?

I have a Mac Mini, late 2012. I'm running El Capitan version 10.11.6, using Chrome. I have a Ooma Voip, need to add an extension about 70 feet away. Can an Ooma system use any other phone extender besides their own LINX brand?
