    Hi all

    Quick question.

I have a friend running XP home. Shes shares the pc with other family members on different accounts.

Is her account reasonably secure from prying teenage eyes with just the login password ? ( a decent one of course )

    Thanks

It should be relatively secure as long as the teenagers don't have administrators priviledges :) There is no such as 100% security, unfortunately, but it is adequate

Actually, by default there is an account called Administrator which requires no password. If the teenager knew how to access this account (extremely easy) he/she could edit any account on the XP computer.

What is created by a human can be cracked/destroyed by a human.

If you don't lock down the BIOS access, and can boot from a floppy, it's very easy with free tools to break into any NT based system.
