Is there a program to create hosts file from favorites?

Since the IP address isn't contained in the favorites, any program to do that would have to do a DNS lookup to accomplish that task. An easier way is to pick up a DNS caching program, it does the same thing, just automatically.

You really don't want your favorites entombed in your hosts file, what happens when a site changes it's IP address?

Answer: You can't find it anymore, and it's a manual operation to fix it.

No, not really. I used to have a program called Modem Wizard from Kissco before I got cable. You could update the hosts file with one click and within a couple of minutes it was done. Unfortunately they took that feature out of the broadband version of the product.
