I'm a little confused. In the course of trying to speed up my computer a little bit, I came across something interesting and puzzling. The rig is a Dell Dimension C521 with 2G ram and an AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ at 2GHz running windows Vista Business.

As you'll see below in the device manager, it tells me that I have a SCSI drive. Yet, when I take the case apart, it sure looks to me like SATA. It's got a SATA cable, etc. Unless they changed the SCSI cable, it has to be SATA. I remember SCSI cables as being fat ribbons from my Mac days (MacPlus, IIsi, PB160, etc.).

Am I going crazy, did I miss something, or is the computer going crazy.

    Thanks for your sanity, Sam

find the model number of the drive on the drive unit and google for it. That might tell you if you have a scsi or sata drive.
