is this a spam behavior?

    hi,

    recently the employee in my company have recieved this email message when they try to send email to outside our domain
    ex:
    to @ourdomain ok
    to @anotherdomain error
    this is the error message

    This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

    A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
    recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    [email protected]
    Domain ##### has exceeded the max emails per hour (200) allowed. Message discarded.





    i called the ISP where we host our emails and they told me it's a policy in thier system
    to only allow 200 email per hour.

    the problem is that:
    1- i tried during 24h to send any email to any domain that is not for us
    for example gmail but i keep getting this message all the time

    2- i'm able to send emails to any email that is being hosted inside
    my country or inside this ISP.

    the ISP gave me a SMTP server address which told me that it doesn't have
    a limitiation on the number of emails to be sent but i'm afraid this will treat our email addresses as a spam in some servers


    could this be happended by a spam software?
    could a spam software steal a user email account info and use it to send emails?
    what is your suggestion on this??

    I cant give you a reccommendation on what to do, but at the end you ask "could a spam software steal a user email account info and use it to send emails?" The answer to that is Yes, in theory they could.

    Sounds like you should host your email elsewhere.

    thank you guys for replying.

    what i did till now is:

    i increased the security level of the kaspersky agents and enabled a high security spam protection
    network engineer will try to monitor the smtp traffic.
    asking for a feed back form the ISP


    regarding changing our host it's something impossible due to governmental issues :(

    Who ever hosts your email should be on top of that can not believe they fobbed you off like that, get your IT person to get on to it, as its a pain in the whatsit to get your domain unblacklisted

    i started feeling that it's not a spam.

    in the past 2 days i kept logging in to the cpanel and checking the bandwidth of SMTP, i don't know if this is right but the traffic was 0 megabit per second which indicate that no messages have been sent through our domain

    do you think that something is hapening to the ISP server or is it a mis-configuration from them

    hey i want to ask again
    is changing the smto server for my host could lead to treat the email coming out of it to be treated as a spam?
