Not sure whether I'm doing this in the right section but I've been looking at some different laptops. I've got a budget of about 450 at most and I'm not sure what would best suit my needs.

I want to use it as something that will be very portable and will last me four years at university, and something that will still be powerful as I use the internet heavily and I want it to be fast for downloading music and things like photo and video viewing, using programs like Word and having several programs open at once; the only game I might use it for is the Sims.

What will be able to perform quickly if I'm using, say, an internet browser with 20 tabs open, a microsoft word document, some pictures open and a couple of programs like MSN Messenger and Skype?

Ones I've been looking at are:

I especially like the M11x but can only really afford 2GB RAM. Is it worth stretching to 4GB RAM?

If anyone could give me any help or guidance, thanks!
