    Hello All.....

I'm trying to help my dad set up his webspace, I'm just learning the HTML but in the process I want to see how the whole process works but I'm confused so maybe someone can help me out....

I'm using FTP Pro and have set up the login to connect to my dad's ISP webspace.

I've done some simple changes to the wording on the ISP page and can see the changes in explorer, but when I replace the Index page on the "remote site" i see no changes .

First question, can I upload to his ISP from my PC or do I have to be on his computer?...(Or is it irrellevant).

Should I see My modified page as soon as I upload it?

    Thanks

    Ziggy

You should see the changes when you upload them, BUT you need to refresh your browser cache to do so.

Try CTRL - F5 for Internet Explorer. Otherwise it will continue to show you the copy in the cache file, not the new one.

Also watch the case sensitivity for the index.htm, or index.html, or index.HTM, or index.HTML ...etc
