Hi,

A Friend has been hijacked by something called IST toolbar, I have had them run Adaware with the latest update and here is the log from the HJT scan.

Any help in what to fix would be appreciated ! Thank you.

Will they also need to remove the folder called
C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe ?

the o17 item is ok to leave but if you already fixed it.... it will return on a re-boot.

Sorry about the delay, Here is the log after fixing all mentioned entries and deleting the folder IStsvc.

I see there are still some lines that mention Hijacked Internet access, Do I check these and/or anything else ?

before you do anything check in add/remove programs for the newdotnet entry....if its there un-install it.

then...run hijackthis again and put a checkmark against these entries....
.....then,close all browser and outlook windows and "fix checked"
