Hi all,

Last posted 2013 with queries re my first build. Specs here:
Specs are:
Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit [Kept updated]
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9
Processor Count: 4
RAM: 16341 Mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, -2048 Mb
1 x SSD Drive: C: Total - 457632 MB, Free - 418126 MB;(Crucial M500 480 GB SSD)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., Z77X-UP5 TH-CF (Wi-Fi included)
Antivirus: ESET Smart Security 6.0, Updated and Enabled [and consistently updated to date]
MalwareBytes Anti Malware [consistently updated to date]

This has been a good build but the Crucial SSD is nearly 90% full and I don't want a new build...
It's mainly a gaming/MMOs computer.I'm wondering about the best items to upgrade?

I am going to be adding storage memory. Probably 1 more Crucial SSD for consistency.
So I might as well max RAM to 32GB as I have the case open anyway.
If I upgrade to a newer NVIDIA GPU, is it necessary to always put in a new CPU?
I'd expect to upgrade to Windows 10 also after that.
The build has been fine generally, and keeps well in temperature limits etc.
(We use our old Sony Bravia 40" TV as a monitor.)

Basically, it ain't bust so the above is not a fix...but would welcome all thoughts on if my ideas would seem to work in theory, as outlined.

Thanks all.

Unless you are running multiple virtual machines or doing VERY hard core CAD, 32gig of ram is a waste. A new 1070 or amd rx580 video card would be a decent upgrade along with another ssd.

16 GB of RAM

I'm not a hardware/gaming expert, but in my opinion, your computer is fine as it is.

32 GB of RAM is indeed over-kill, unless it's really needed.
Maxing out that motherboard, just for the sake of it, is a waste of money.

If that 480 GB SSD is nearly full, I'm guessing it's full of personal data.
Hopefully, you have at least one backup copy of it.
