It is now safe to turn of your comp.

    whenever i turn off my computer, it always say that. how can i make it not appear when i shut down my computer? thanks

    1) Check that your system is ACPI compliant
    - in "Device manger" expand the "computer" icon and check if states Advanced Power management

    2) Test in safe mode - If the problem is not present in safe mode, then mostlikely the issue is releated to a 3rd party application hanging the system during the shut down process.

    If the problem is still present in safe mode, then you may need to toggle some settings in the BIOS (power management etc..)
    or you may need to update the system BIOS

    Please post results

    in the device manger, under the computer, i have the ACPI uniprocessor PC. how would i update my BIOS? thanks

    ACPI is OK.

    Have you test the sytem in safe mode?

    To update the BIOS, you need to go to your vendor manifacturer website to download the latest BIOS version. Then follow their instructions.

    But before you update the BIOS, Test in safe mode to see what happen?
