It's Windows XP 20th birthday and way too many still use it

Yep.
Today is the 20th anniversary of when Windows XP (no service pack included) was released to the public - October 25, 2001.
It has remained popular for nostalgia reasons and with people who have very old computers.
Hackers and programmers have contributed to keeping it up to date with security updates through May 2019.
They also have contributed to keeping it up to date with add-ons, drivers, etc. through May 2021.
I used and tested it until very few third-party apps (browsers, security, etc.) were still available that support it.
