I am expirencing a small glitch with my itunes, one...i am getting no notifications of updates even tho the option is ticked, and secondly when i check for updates manually and an update is found, the update doesnt download automatically, i have to download the update via the itunes website and then install it manually as well.......i noticed this when doing a few things on my dads laptop and his itunes popped up with an update notification and after i confirmed it was okay to download it did everything itself....whats wrong with mine?

I run on XP home edition

    Thanks....

Count yourself fortunate because many iTunes users I know personally (as well as on various forums) have found to their horror that an automatic iTunes update has screwed up what was working okay before it. It's no bad thing to disable the auto-update, then visit the site occasionally and see what the latest update actually adds or fixes before deciding on whether or not to install it.

Updates are not compulsory (same with driver updates) -- so if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Lool, funny you say that, because now the crossfade from one song to another is starting midway through songs rather than the last 10 seconds...
