I just got this new laptop - when I installed iTunes, it keeps popping up, then it won't close, I have uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it, the same thing keeps happening. Help. Any ideas?

What "pops up", and what won't close? iTunes shouldn't be launching itself. That doesn't make any sense. And I don't know what you mean by "won't close". You click the X and nothing happens? It's locked up?

iTunes launches itself - I know it doesn't make any sense. When I hit the red X, it won't close - yes, it locks up - not every time, but sometimes. I have "unpinned" it from the start menu, I do not roll over it with my curser by accident, it just launches itself, and then begins to play.

I can't think of a reasonable technical explanation for just the iTunes application randomly opening without you doing anything whatsoever. I highly doubt it's a problem with iTunes. If I had to guess I'd say someone has access to your computer and is pranking you.

No one is pranking me - now I cannot close iTunes at all even through the right click...this has been happening all day, and I'm guessing it has something to do with the Cloud storage for some reason. At one point, I took it off of Cloud storage, but then recently put it back. It is driving me nuts because it won't close and just freezes everything. Thanks for trying, but it has something to do with iTunes and the Cloud...
