image.jpg I have a HP pavilion g6 and the battery is in a weird position and I can’t move the slider to remove it. How can I remove the battery to reposition it without breaking or damaging my laptop? The battery is in on the right (near the slider) and sticking out on the left.

You will have to push the slider over before the battery will come out, try holding a flat screwdriver vertically up against the slider and push the screwdriver to get extra force but try not to over do it.
Once the slider has moved you should be able to pull the battery out but if still seems stuck use something like a knife in the gap between battery and case to get extra force to push it out.

You might have a bulging battery and that's why the cover is askew and the slider won't move.
