Java noob

    Hi I am new to Java but seem to trouble setting up java I installes java but every time I run the java program I get the same error message wich says that there was an exeption executing /main could this be because my envirmental setting was not set also does any one know how to convert class to exe (any freeware) Please this is urgent!!!!!:eek:

    Hi gfxrelay,

    You should probably set the JAVA_HOME environment variable : just look at this page to see how you must proceed.
    Also, if the error is still occuring, please post the exact contain of the error message and eventually the pice of coding.
    To have an .exe file from a Java application, you should translate first your Java sources into C++ and then compile the C++ programs. I know there exist translators but I've not experimented them.
