I swear i hope i am doing this correct....i am trying to do what you guys asked in the read first post so i hope i did this correct....forgive me i had meningitis several years ago and sometimes trying to understand things gets a bit difficult for me so plz bare with me here......
For about 2 or 3 weeks i have had a bad lag and pop ups.......i have ran mcaffe and adaware and superware anti spy ware on still have a lag and pop up problem... today i hear about the java thing so i unloaded java completely...not sure that was smart but its done....i looked on add and remove and i dont see java anywhere...........i logged on to Facebook and it wanted me to enable java so i did on my firefox and then fb worked........but i dont see java in add and remove programs which is odd i think.............this is driving me friggin crazy to say the least. i just ran the hijack this report and will post it at the bottom here for you guys............i am running windows xp with service pack 3. and use firefox only......apparently i really need java to do many things on the puter..........i went to java website to do the security patch and it lead me to oracle website which seem to be more interested in telling about the press release only and i can not find the link for the patch. i am going nuts here trying to figure out what is going on with this mess here and any help is deeply appreciated.
but here is the log file i got from hijack this..............thanks guys..........

Hi, and welcome to our malware removal forum!

My name is Richard and I'll be happy to help you with your computer problems.

Please be advised that I am currently in training, so my responses will need to be approved by one of our experts before I post them. This is only to ensure you are receiving accurate instructions. It may cause a delay in my replies.

    Please note the following:

    • The cleaning process is not instant as logs can take time to research. Sit tight and please be patient.
    • I will be working on your malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you may have with your system.
    • While we are fixing your problems, do NOT install/re-install any programs or run any fixes or scanners unless told to do so.
    • Ensure that your anti-virus definitions are up-to-date.
    • I would advise backing up all your important documents, personal data files and photos to a CD or DVD drive.
    • Do not back up any Applications (programs). These should be re-installed from the original source CD(s) or website(s).
    • During the course of our cleanup, please do not do any additional online work or surfing until we have verified that your system is clean.
    • I suggest printing out each set of instructions and reading the entire post before proceeding. It will make following them easier.
    • Be sure to follow the directions and run tools/scans in the order listed.
I will return as soon as possible with more instructions.

    Regards,

    Richard:D

    Download OTL to your Desktop.

    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
    • Under Custom Scan paste this in

      netsvcs
      %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
      /md5start
      explorer.exe
      winlogon.exe
      Userinit.exe
      svchost.exe
      services.exe
      /md5stop
      %systemroot%\*. /rp /s
      %systemdrive%\$Recycle.Bin|@;true;true;true
      DRIVES
      CREATERESTOREPOINT
    • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
      • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
      • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
      • You may need two posts to fit them both in.

    Next

    • Please download aswMBR.exe and save it to your Desktop.
    • Double click aswMBR.exe to start the tool. If you use Windows Vista or 7, right click and choose 'Run as Administrator'.
    • When asked if you want to download Avast's virus definitions please select Yes.
    • Click Scan
      • Upon completion of the scan, click Save log and save it to your Desktop, and post that log in your next reply for review. Note - do NOT attempt any Fix yet.
      • You will also notice another file created on the Desktop named MBR.dat. Right click that file and select Send To>Compressed (zipped) file. Attach that zipped file in your next reply as well.

In your next reply, please provide the following:

    • OTL log.
    • aswMBR log.
    • Description of how your PC is running.

    Richard.
I ran both the OTL and the EXTRA and i have saved both the files it made. I have one issue though.. It does show every webpage i have been to and not to be a total butt about this it shows every single webpage i have been to and there are some pages that contain some personal information on it and i personally do not want everyone knowing all of my business. Therefore I have a problem with posting all of the info it has on the file page. Not that there is anything illegal it is jut some information i rather not share with the entire world. I hope you understand this. Is there any way i can get around getting the information you need and not plastering all my business on the internet. I know once its there..it is there forever and i rather it not be there at all.......
Again I don't want to come across as a jerk, i just really don't want my personal information out there for the world to see. I am sure you understand this though.
And sorry it took me so long to get back with you.. I was not at home to access my home computer which is the one i am having issues with so i could not get to the things you needed me to run. I have not even checked my gmail to see if you had posted on here again either. Been a wee bit busy around here......
Again, i am not sure how to post all of the info you need without displaying so much personal info.........Let me know.......(I'll set my phone so it will alert me for emails so when you post here it should just send me a alert on my phone, provided i set that up correctly that is.........lol
    Thank you,
    Donna

    Hello :)

You could remove any personal information from the logs before posting them here, if needed. However, by editing the logs, you may also end up removing items that you think is personal but is really malware related.

If you would still like to edit out your personal information, please keep a copy of the original logs.
