    Not sure if this is the correction category section; but, I have been trying for some time, with no success, to unstall Java Platofmr Enterprise Edition 5 SDK from my computer. I get the unstaller window up; but, the progress bar simply does not move.

    I read instruction from Java site which says to make sure that all domains using this Java program are shut down; but, I have no idea what this means....which domains or application use this program.

    Can anyone help this (what I am coming to see as I am a more and more) novice homecomputer operator.

    Thanks to one and all.

    If your problem is still unresolved there are two things you could try;

    1. If there is still an entry for the unwanted Java version in your Add/Remove list you could try Revo Uninstaller; http://www.revouninstaller.com/ If you do try it be sure to read the instructions carefully because this program modifies the Registry. If Revo doesn't appeal to you, consider;

    2. A program called JavaRa which is not official Sun software but claims to remove all out of date Java versions and install the latest one; http://raproducts.org/javara.html (I see that you currently have the Developer Kit version (SDK). If you need to replace it, JavaRa will not work because it only deals with the JRE, the normal version for end users, rather than the SDK.
