    Hello!

Did not see my particular "pet" in the current forum posts. I am using Acer netbook running XP and I believe it's a 32-bit. About 5 hours ago, I found I was unable to bring iTunes up after clicking on it. I tried opening it from desktop icon and from the program folder. Nada. A little later, I discovered that anything and everything I clicked on the bottom task bar (everything from the Start button to the volume icon) did nothing but sound the Windows "ta-da". I can access the programs that have icons on the desktop and top task/menu bar. I've got to be careful what I open up. If I minimize something, it stays on the bottom task bar where it will sound "ta-da" if clicked. If I close something, it had better be accessible from one of the programs on the desktop. I ran Malwarebytes and Avira. Avira revealed this: (I had to copy it down by hand)

    Java/OpenConnectio

    it's in

    C:\\Documents and Settings\JUDY GREENE\Local Setting . . .\jar_cache4206677203194803678.tmp

I had Avira quarantine it and delete it.

I used CCleaner (it might have been one of the other desktop programs, though) to try to find this so I could get rid of it. But I couldn't find it.

So I ran Hijack This in hopes that someone can see what's going on and help me get rid of whatever this is. Remember, please, that I can't get into anything that requires clicking into Start.
