I have Total Media 3.5, to view my USB DBTV. Everthing is fine while I'm watching a program, but if I start recording a program, the images are jerky, and so is the recorded program. What could be causing it, and how can I prevent it?

It just says mpg. I watch them in TotalMedia as well. The problem hasn't always been there. The sound and picture are ok until I start recording, thats when it becomes jerky, and the recorded output.
