Jitter.exe causing error messages

    I have a ThinPad T61, winXP, 2G ram (non-tubro), NVIDIA card. And lately, every time I shuttown, I get an error message (memory could not be written or something like that) and jitter.exe application closes.

    By searching the web for jitter.exe I found that it's part of windows programs. How do I fix this application? Can I remove it?
