I've had a freeware program that's been on the comp since last spring with no problems, then tonight (Tuesday) when I was running a weekly check on the Trend site, it said JOKE_Pchaunt.a had been found in the program's folder--twice.
Trend said it could be deleted by the user, BUT when I did, the .exe file was also deleted & the program wouldn't run.
:
I deleted the folder for the program, ran Trend again, nothing found, downloaded the program's .zip file, ran it, then ran Trend again, and ... lo, & behold, the same 2 JOKE_Pchaunt files where there!
:
So, the question is how do I get rid of this so-called "Joke"? AVG didn't catch it--or ZoneAlarm
The "haunt" files don't show up in "find files" or the program's folder....
:
The program is "Perpetual Calendar" by McClain Software.
