I have been using a wingman interceptor stick ported out of
an Aureal vortex 2 soundcard with no problem. I just installed
a new video card (Viper 770, I know, I know, it's old but so is
my computer). Anyhow, the video seems to work fine but
the joystick is not recognized. I've tried reinstalling the drivers
reinstalling hardware but still nothing. Is this related in any way to the new video card? The sound is still fine so I assume the
soundcard is o.k. What else can I try to get the stick back?
I'm using Win95 by the way.

Also, if it matters, I've got the viper patched to a Pure3d 2 card
as well.

solution. Logitech support suggested updating DirectX to version
8.0a and lo and behold it worked. Don't know why. I had been running version 6 and it was working fine. maybe it had to something to do with the new vid card, I don't know.
