I purchased this motherboard and this and ram. I did as much homework as humanly possible to make sure all the pieces of the new machine I'm building are compatible...but there might be a question as to whether or not the motherboard with run the RAM at 1600 mhz.

    Thoughts?

So, the memory I have has the better heatsink?

I think we checked the same link and what I see on their list is they list F3-12800CL9D-2GBNQ (the one you just linked to "2048MB - Kit of 2") and mine is F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL.

I'm assuming those last 5 characters mean 2 gigs or 4 gigs and something else.

Well, there's F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ, which I can verify as the same exact thing as your linked Ripjaws, without the cool heatsinks, which is in return the 2x2GB version of the 2x1 GB kit on the QVL list. It is very very very probable that the memory is compatible with no possible problems. Other things telling that the memory is very likely to work are the loose timings and low voltage need.
