While recording a wedding ceremony which was just completing a fuse blew in the church and we lost power to the camera as the battery was not in situ. The message 'Video management file is broken to record/playback video recovery is required recover ?' appeared when camera was turned back on, we pressed yes and the file was lost. Is there anywayto recover this file (recorded Saturday 8/3/2008) or anyone who can suggest to whom we can take the camera to recover this file......we live in Adelaide South Australia

Look in your phone book or yellow pages to find an expert company specialising in this field (data recovery).

Any amatuer attempts may make the recovery impossible, though it may be mpossible now, depending on how badly the file is corrupted.

Thanks.......we are expecting it to be gone but you have to try everything when it's such an important occasion.

I used the following method to recover all data on a camera, 2 days ago, with the same error message.
Install On Track's Easy Recovery Software on PC.
Connect camera via USB.
Run Easy Recovery.

Please see this document to see JVC's document that addresses the eror message.

Some users relate the message to camera vibration during recording. They worked around it by using flash memory.

Best of success.
