Windows XP Home Edition
5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
Since installing Kaspersky anti-virus 7.0, I am greeted each day by a "Previous Application Launch Failed" form referring me to a documents and setting folder containing AVP dmp files. When I turn off the computer, I get "End Program AVP.EXE", followed by DWWIN.EXE DLL failed to initialize.
Kaspersky tech services says that the problem is remnants of Norton. I have used the removal tool several times, and manually removed everything I can find about Symantec. The only thing left, according to Ktech, is a file in the registry. I don't know how to get rid of that.
Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions to the problem?
Thanks.
