I need help before I do anything wrong, computer running slow, so I did a Kaspersky online scan. All it said, I have 2 viruses but have to download Kaspersky trial. Did that. now it tells me I have to remove AVG or else it can't install. Is this true? Then I would have to re-install AVG and update it again, since Kaspersky is not free. These two programs worked well together last year on another computer.
Also I could not run the online scanner from Panda, it just stalled and nothing happened. Kaspersky does not tell what the name of the virus is. AVG did not find anything today. Spybot found no threats. Also, do I still have to be online to do the online scanning after it downloaded the scanner? Can I be online while checking for viruses? Should I be offline running hjt?

having two anti viurs programs running can cause problems and thus likely the reason Kaspersky wants you to remove AVG.

I would run the HJT and post the results before doing anything further if it were me.

Not sure if it makes a difference if you run HJT online or off. I have done it both ways.
