I sometimes get a 'kernel32.dll' error if I try and start the browser in
Psp too quickly after opening the program. All I can tell you is that it's almost
certainly not the 'kernel' file itself.

These pages may help you into the right dirrection

http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/26d2e.htm
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/31c46.htm
http://flyerspsp.com/help1.htm

And this the definition of Kernel32.dll Error Messages

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/support/windows/topics/errormsg/kbkern.asp

Sorry I can't be more helpful but as I understand it 'kernell32' is like
the 'backbone' of Windows, so the problem could be anywhere !!

Thanks for the links... I think it's a problem with the whole machine to be honest. I've got some hardware problems and I think since they have been happening alot of things have gone haywire.

I removed some of the fonts from the folder (they're under 900 now) and it's working fine again now *touches wood*

At the moment I'm just sorting out one problem after another... it's a constant battle of wits between me and the PC :D

I had around 600+ fonts on my Pc and installed Adobe Illustrator,
then everything went haywire. Error messages all over the place,
especially when trying to run Photoshop. Threw errors at me for
fun.

Found out that Adobe could only handle something like 394 fonts,
it was an odd figure. I've been trying to find the info I saved at the
time.

I've now only got 392 fonts installed and everything seems fine !!

Funny thing is... I had 800+ already installed when I installed Photoshop 7 and it was fine... then I had some problems with ME and had to reinstall it and reinstalled the fonts and Photoshop and SHAZAM... error messages every now and again... LATER: more problems with ME so I reinstalled it AGAIN and the fonts and Photoshop... not a single error... much later... ME drove me round the twist and I reinstalled it AGAIN  and fonts and Photoshop and the problems started!

Seems it's ME and Photoshop not wanting to play nicely together imho... I now have 890 fonts installed and Photoshop and *touch wood* it's working like a dream... SO far! (y)
