Now now, one of the opposite sex is more than enough here. Why don't you ever tell me or Mulder, nice one?

Nice to have a little chit chat while were gettin our hands dirty.

Sharon, I have been picking away at the tips at kernel32.com. Did the hard drive check, deleted swap files, extracted new kernel32.

Will try deleting password list now. No luck yet. Will keep you posted.

donl, I'm a computer novice myself, but I like to try to help out the pros that are a permanent fixture here by doing a little research when I can as they have helped me out when I was desperate for a little tech support. They'll help you out in anyway they can (they're VERY good). Keep us posted. Good luck! :)

Try downloading and running AdAware 4.55 . Just click on the link on the left titled "Download Page" and then download aaw45.exe. Install it, then look under Start>Programs for the Ad-Aware.exe to run it. See if it finds any spyware and let it clean/delete it. Then see what happens with the Quicken download. Spyware is notorious for causing Kernel32 errors in other apps.

My next suggestion would be to disable all of your Startup programs and then try Quickin. Assuming your running 98 or ME, do this,

Start>Run, key in Msconfig and press enter. Click on the Startup tab. Now make note of everything that has a checkmark next to it. Now remove all checkmarks except ScanRegistry and Systray. Click on Apply and follow the prompts to restart. Once it's restarted try Quicken. What happens?
