If you are running Windows OS (98, 2000, XP) you should have a Mouse app in your control panel. See if you can adjust the settings in there. Your Logitech software may help too.

I'm assuming it is an infrared mouse? You might try changing batteries and cleaning the bottom to make sure nothing is causing it to go crazy.

In the control panel open mouse then go to the motion tab and see if setting it to the slowest setting works.

Might be defective. My lazer mouse does that once in a while but recovers. Yours might not be working properly - I'd exchange it if you can.

In the Control Panel, select Mouse and the Pointer Options tab. Uncheck “Enhance pointer precision” and the problem may go away.
