Ok, i speak to you now from my mobile phone. This isn't my first post, but i couldn't remember the details of my old account so had to make a new one.
Basically my keyboard and mouse hate me. They work, but they don't work like they're supposed to.
It appears than evert key on my keyboard is acting like a shortcut... So where normally ctrl + F would be 'find', just pressing F makes find come up. It's like this with every key and it's not the keyboard settings, i checked and it's all normal. It's also not the keyboard itself, changing keyboards did nothing.
The mouse will move the cursor and such, but won't click properly on things and has the same sort of shortcut problem as the keyboard, clicking a link always opens a new tab in my browsers and opens files in a new window...
This isn't the first time this has happened, it's the fourth time... it happens at complete random - i do nothing. Each other time i used system restore and it worked for a few days, but not this time. This time the mouse's problem has evolved so that i can't click 'next' on system restore, and since the keyboard is being a douche i can't do that... I'm at my wits end and there are hugely important documents that i need to access and work on.

Edit: it's a desktop running windows XP
