Your shift key is stuck or malfunctioning, time for a new keyboard.

If your brave and cheap AND your keyboard is a PS/2 you can carefully unplug and replug the keyboard and the problem goes away. I used to do that.

My suggestion would be to go to best buy and get a new keyboard when their $1 after rebate.

Cheers

Get a good $20~35 keyboard... Mine was made in 1998, still works... but every once in a while, I need to unplug it. It's even the OLD AT-Style connector (I have a PS2 Adapter - then attached to PS2 extention cable as to not put so much weight on the PS2 port).

Logitech has keyboards starting at $25.00

Some stores were dumping the really nice $10~15 IBM keyboards... I love these. Small, good feel

Oh here it is:

They have it in black for $2-3 more. But in their stores - if they have them, $10~15.
