At first my "2" and "4" keys across the top of the keyboard would always render"24."

    My numeric pad is okay.

Now, while I was typing my post, my "period" key has started acting up.2 When I push the period key, I always get ".2"

I have to always back up and delete that 2.

I use an ergonomic keyboard that is not cheap, it isn't that old, and I would hate to have to replace it.

    Driving me nuts.2

Do you have access to another keyboard to try?

Please use the TSG System Info tool to let Tech's know the specs of your computer: http://static.techguy.org/download/SysInfo.exe Copy and paste the results here in your thread.
Also, if its a brand name system like an Acer,Dell or HP, please post the exact model of the system.

I plugged in another keyboard, and it seems to be working.

I have tried the other keyboard with another laptop and it did the same thing.

Does this mean my keyboard is hosed beyond repair?

If it's an expensive model and it's less then a year old you may be able to get it replaced under warranty, unless there's physical or spill damage. If it's a cheaper unit it's not worth the effort and shipping costs.
