I have a question regarding my computer. I have a Intel P4 1.7 Windows 98 SE system that is running slow and when I use wordpad the keys on my keyboard don't work or they work when I press and hold the key for a long time. What's going on?

What other processes are you running in the background?

Start button, run, then type msinfo32 and hit ok...go to software, startups, edit, select all, edit, copy and come back and paste.

How much ram do you have?

Bad keyboard controller, the keyboard buffer is full, a virus, spilled coke in the keyboard. Any number of things, but I think Cady's suggestion is the place to start.
