I have an older Dell desktop with a wireless keyboard & mouse. The keyboard stopped working although I can still use the mouse. I am (was)using Windows XP. I tried a regular usb keyboard and it won't work either, in any of the ports. Both keyboards work fine on other computers. When I check the status on control panel it says it's working properly. I replaced the keyboard batteries, uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and a friend did something with drivers (checking? updating?) and said the drivers were fine. The computer had been really slowing down for a while before this happened even though my security/scans were working. I welcome any suggestions, but I won't be able to fix it if it's complicated. I'm mainly wondering if it would be worth it to have it repaired - I have a laptop I mostly use.
    Thanks for any suggestions.
