    Run hijackthis again and put a checkmark against these entries....double check
    in case you miss anything....
    .....then,close all browser and outlook windows INCLUDING THIS ONE and "fix checked"

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\tibs3.exe

    ==============================
    Empty the Recycle Bin.
    ==============================
    Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box, press OK . The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of that Temp folder.

    Then go to C:\windows\temp and select EVERYTHING except temporary internet files, cookies and history folders and delete all that and then do the same for C:\temp

    1) Open Control Panel
    2) Click on Internet Options
    3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Delete Files
    4) Check the box "Delete all offline content"
    5) Click on OK.....wait for the hourglass icon to stop after it deletes the temporary internet files
    6) You can now click on "Delete Cookies" and click OK to delete cookies that websites have placed on your hard drive.

    Re-boot and post another log after.

    ;)

    My bad :rolleyes:
    I dont know how but I missed a couple of screamers.
    See if theres an entry for "AdStatus Service" of similar in Add/Remove Programs.
    Un install it if its there.
    =============================================
    Reboot into safe mode by following instructions here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...2001052409420406?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam
    Then as some of the files or folders you need to delete may be hidden do this:
    Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options.
    Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
    Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"(reverse these steps when your clean!!)
    ================================================
    Have HijackThis "Fix" these:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Task Manager] C:\windows\system32\taskmgn.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AdStatus Service] C:\Program Files\AdStatus Service\AdStatServ.exe

    Locate and delete:
    C:\windows\system32\taskmgn.exe
    C:\Program Files\AdStatus Service
    folder.

    One more log after.

    ;)

    Looks like you have a variant of the Haxdoor trojan.

    Download PocketKillbox from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/KillBox.zip
    Unzip it to your desktop.... we will use it later.
    ==========================================
    Disconnect from the internet,unplug your modem!
    ==========================================
    Download the attachment ive added to this post fixhx.txt save it to your desktop.
    Right click on the file and choose "Rename"... Rename the file from fixhx.txt to fixhx.reg
    ==========================================
    Click "Apply" then "OK"(reverse these steps when your clean!!).
    ==========================================
    Empty the Recycle Bin.
    ==============================

    6) You can now click on "Delete Cookies" and click OK to delete cookies that websites have placed on your hard drive
    ========================================
    Turn off System Restore:

    On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
    Click Apply, and then click OK.
    Restart your computer.(reverse these steps when clean)
    ========================================
    Double-click on "Killbox.exe" to run it. Now put a tick by "Delete on reboot" In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time. After each one it will ask for confimation to delete the file on next reboot. Click Yes. It will then ask if you want to reboot now. Click No. Continue with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Tibs3.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drct16.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vdmt16.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlow.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\WaiZ.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\w32tm.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mszx23.exe

    Re-boot once more into SAFE MODE

    Double click on the fixhx.reg and merge it into the registry.

    Run Killbox again and clear the temp files
    "Tools" > "Delete Temp Files" and click "OK"
    ============================================
    Hit "My Computer" and navigate to the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
    You want the details view....and to sort the files by DATE (Arrange icons --> modified)

    Have a look for the following files (which should be around the same date)
    Some of them might not be present and there could be some which are not listed.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mszx23.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Tibs3.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\w32tm.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drct16.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cz.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vdmt16.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\hz.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlow.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\wz.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\p2.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\es.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\WaiZ.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\z.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\—I0¢+opes.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\slowIsys.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\zININEwz.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\2Ioso.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\3d.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\|msz.

    If any of these are there.....save them one by one to floppy disk,then delete them. You can list for me any your not sure about and include them in your next post.
    =========================================
    This is a link to Symantecs advice on this baddie......If you are happy
    editing the registry,follow the instructions for removing the reg entries.
    http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.haxdoor.d.html
    You have a slightly different variant but the registry locations will be the same.
    =========================================
    Reboot into normal mode and run the fixhx.reg file again.
    =========================================
    Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites....
    http://virusscan.jotti.dhs.org/
    http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html
    http://www.dials.ru/english/www_av/
    http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
    http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

    Re-boot again.
    ==========================================

    Run Adaware and Spybot scans then post another HijackThis log.

    ;)
