1) Does the monitor work correctly when using a DisplayPort connection directly to the gaming PC, bypassing the KVM? If not, you may need to adjust the video settings on the gaming PC.
2) If the monitor does work with a direct connection, but not through the KVM, are the PC's video settings compatible with the KVM's video support limits (resolutions up to 2560x1600 @ 60Hz)?
3) If the gaming PC's video format should work with the KVM, try swapping the KVM's inputs between the two PCs and let us know if the same problem exists.
Please let us know the screen resolutions and refresh rates used for both the work PC and gaming PC .
I don't know that else to check beyond that at the moment.
Can you change the video settings on the gaming PC to match the work PC (including the (P)rogressive/(I)nterlaced setting) and see if the monitor works with that through the KVM?
I am not sure how to answer that. I had thought that when looking at the display properites control panel, there would be an "i" or "p" suffix in the resolution setting description, such as 1080p or 1080i or there is a checkbox for interlaced mode. I am ona computer that is running Windows 8.1 and has an NVIDEA GPU. The screen settings do not show an information if the video is interlaced or not. Pure conjecture on my part, but I think that the default is progressive (non-interlaced) scan mode.
If the Windows Display settings is showing 1080P then you are running progressive scan. Can you change it to 1080P @ 60Hz? If the monitor works with that setting with both a direct connection and through the KVM switch, then I would say that your KVM switch specifications are correct and it just can't handle the higher frequency video signals for a 240 Hz refresh rate.
