I am trying to print two Avery labels, one round and one rectangular. They always print a bit too high on the label. I've used Avery's free label creator, Online Labels.com, and Word to no avail. They all print too high. It must be caused by some setting on my computer. Can someone help? Avery's help desk doesn't help.

Avery Labels is on Avery.com, and they have an Adjust Print Alignment option so you can get your text perfectly aligned on the label.

Hmm... works great here.

Another option is if they are printing a "bit to high" --- let's say this bit is 1/16th of an inch -- then use a razor knife and a straight edge to cut off 1/16th of an inch off the top edge of the label paper.

A low-tech and intriguing solution. I tried it but it's a bit hard to get a nice clean cut because they have a special rough, thick edge to facilitate feeding. I probably need a new blade. Anyway, I tried various other things, spent an hour on the phone with Avery (again), to no avail. I gave up and ordered some labels from VistaPrint! Thanks so much for your suggestions. I really appreciate it.

You're welcome.

Yep, you need a razor knife, good straight edge and steady hands. A good paper cutter is even better.

Good to hear your found a solution. (y)
