Use a multimeter to check the AC adapter's DC voltage output at the tip that plugs into the laptop to make sure the adapter is working correctly. The DC voltage that it should be supplying will be listed on the AC adapter.

    Okay cool. Then:

    1) When you plug that adapter into the laptop, does the battery LED light up?

    2) If so, does your multimeter show that the battery is fully charged?

Try it on AC only - take out battery
    If still no good
    disconnect power supply
HOLD DOWN power button for a full 30 seconds
Reconnect AC power only and try again
