For many years I have used MS Word; currently I have Office Professional 2013. I have installed fonts for a number of languages, some of which use non-Latin alphabets. In ‘Region & Language’ in the control panel, I have added the appropriate keyboards; in a couple of cases, I have downloaded third-party keyboards. Usually no problem—I set the language bar for the one I want to use, switch to an appropriate font if necessary, and everything goes smoothly. Not long ago Word encountered some sort of glitch and I had to reboot to get it back. I discovered that some of the languages I had added in ‘Region & Language’ had been deleted. I added them back. Now Word refuses to recognize the non-Latin keyboards. I can type only in the Latin alphabet. I try to reinstall, using the same procedure as always, and it does no good. What is wrong? I didn’t make any changes that I am aware of that would interfere with non-Roman keyboards.
