i have a cable modem that is hooked up to a wireless g broadband router, and my laptop has been configured so i connect wirelessly. The laptop is the only computer I use.

My question is, I am looking for a way to print from a printer without it being connected (plugged in) to the laptop. Can a regular printer do this, would i need to buy somekind of wireless adapter? or do i plug it into the router? is getting a wireless printer the better option? Thanks.

In my opinion the best solution is to get a printer (or all-in-one) with built-in ethernet and keep it connected to the router. You can also get a printer (or all-in-one) that has built-in wireless or both wireless and ethernet.

If you are talking about a printer you already have, and it is not network ready, you would need a print server. You can get wireless or ethernet print servers, with USB or parallel printer connection(s).
