I'm having trouble connecting my PS3 to the internet. I'm too far away from my wifi router and can't get a good signal strength. I do have an ethernet cable from my pc, but apparently it only works in my pc and not on my PS3. It keeps saying: no ethernet cable connected. I've searched fora, but apparently this can be caused by a lot of things, and I dont really find a solution :s. The problem is, it has worked before, and now it doesn't. Also, ethernet on my ps3 works perfectly at my buddy's house.

I have a linksys wrt54g version 7. I installed the router myself, but if my wired connection to my pc works, and the wireless connection works for the laptop, there shouldn't be any problem I guess?

Perhaps, could the laptop -which is on the router's wifi and which is halfway in between my router and my PS3 in distance- act as a wifi amplifier to my PS3? That way, the ps3 could pick up the signal from the laptop, instead of all the way from the router?

    Any help is appreciated :)
