I have a Dell Latitude C600 laptop. Does it have a CMOS battery,
and if so, can I remove it? I forgot my boot password and was
told to remove the CMOS battery for a while to reset it.

    Hi robert65

Is your laptop under warranty? If you take it apart you will void the warranty. Try calling Dell at 1-800-822-8965 sometimes they have a master password that can be used to bypass the system password. BOL

    Hi robert65, welcome to TSG.

Try using Dell as a password.
