Laptop, device problems

    Everytime my I turn my new laptop on, I find my biometric device is disabled as well as my network card and others the full screenshot is..[​IMG] . sometimes the card does not turn off but the wireless capabilities are so i have to diagnose it to turn it back on.

    What is the "biometric device" and why is it not in the Device Manager?

    Start by checking the manufacturer's site for driver updates to the network components and chipset (if any).

    Any history to this, such as new installations or changes just before the problem appeared? If recent, have you tried System Restore?

    not sure but it uses Authentec if it helps it comes standard from pcspecalist
