Hello
I have a dell xps 15. It disconnects from my wifi intermittently but passesdell tests etc. Another laptop running in parallel with the dell does not disconnect at all. Is this a wifi card problem?

It could be a driver issue, or a wireless card issue. Please run the tool in my signature to provide us the system information and we can assist in getting the correct drivers.

Does the wifi signal on the dell show full bars?

I didn't realized this was a smart install.

Go into Device Manager and right click on the wireless card, and choose update driver, then point to the unzipped folder.

Did you try disabling any internet security programs?

Many thanks for your help really appreciate it. I did not try disabling Norton as all my laptops have the same antivirus, and this one laptop is the only one with issues. But the strange thing is that when my wife was off last week and not on her system, my laptop did not disconnect from the web. I dont know if it is a stretch to say that when she is also on our high speed network that something happens that affects only this laptop.
