Laptop is an older (1999 or so) IBM Thinkpad 765L. I have been having this wierd problem with the display resolution. If I set it to anything below 1024x768 such as 800x600, the screen is readjusted in SIZE. That is, the visible screen actually shrinks. Im not sure why it is doing this. How can I use 800x600 streched to cover the entire screen?

By the way, yes I do realize this is an old laptop but I am hoping to wait another year before buying a new one (at that point I will be entering graduate school, students are poor you know :).

Thanks for any help you can give :)

That's the way it works. Using their drivers, you probably can't do anything about it.
