    Hi,

I was having problems with my games slowing down etc on my laptop so I decided to do a reformat and reinstall of Windows 7.

After I done it I noticed my laptop was still doing a sort of glitch/delay whenever I was doing stuff like opening folders to view files, programs and even in things like Firefox when it was loading a page you would see the spinning icon stop for a second then load.

I have reinstalled again and it still seems to have this slight delay on things.

I have ran HIREN Boot CD and done a hard drive test and it came back saying PASS.

My laptop specs are : Intel Core i3 M370 2.4GHz, 6GB Ram, 500GB Hard Drive, ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5470 512mb, Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit.

I have also been in "msconfig" and disabled alot of the startup stuff but even startup still feels slow.

Could someone give me any guidance on why this is happening and how to solve it.

Here is also a HiJackThis log if that helps.

The Hjt log does not work well with Windows 7 SP1.
    Download Security Check by screen317
    http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/
    Save it to your Desktop.

Right click and select "Run as Administrator"
A command Prompt window will open.
Let it scan the Pc - press any key when asked.
It should now open in Notepad - and will save a log called checkup.txt.
Post the result of the scan here.
    --------
    Download AdwCleaner to your desktop.
    Double click the adwcleaner.exe.
Click on Search - the scan once finished, will open a notepad window.
Post the logfile in the reply box below.
The logfile is saved in C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt.

NOTE: If using Internet Explorer and you get an alert that stops the program downloading click on Tools > Smartscreen Filter > Turn off Smartscreen Filter then click on OK in the box that opens. Then click on the link again.
    ------------
    Run chkdsk

It may just be me but i'm noticing it with things like deleting a file to recycle bin, it takes 1sec to actually perform the action. Or even after i've installed a program when I go to delete the setup file it says its currently in use then I try again and it works.

Thats whats making me think that its the hard drive or some form of settings for the hard drive.
